Jimease (Sanders) Thompson

Jimease (Sanders) Thompson is a native of College Park, Ga. She is the daughter of Jimmy and Maude Sanders, and the third of four children. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ. From that moment, Jimease knew that she wanted to lead a Christ centered-focused life. Jimease has also had a love for music and teaching. She began playing the piano and alto saxophone at 8 years old. Jimease went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, concentration in Piano Performance, from Tennessee State University. She also earned a Master of Music, concentration in Music Education/Piano, from The University of Memphis.

Jimease has taught private piano lessons for over fifteen years, starting as a student teacher at The Piano Academy in College Park, Ga. While in Memphis, Jimease started a private piano studio, while building and maintaining the Piano Program at Overton High School – School for the Creative and Performing Arts. With her guidance, students were able to compete and place in local, state, and national competitions. She has served on a curriculum writing team for the state of Tennessee, as well as served on the executive board for the Greater Memphis Music Teachers Association (GMMTA) and currently the South Metro Atlanta Music Teachers Association (SMAMTA).

Jimease is currently a private piano instructor at Woodward Academy in College Park, Ga. She has been teaching there for 7 years. She also has a private home studio for students in McDonough, Ga.

Jimease has a passion for people. She loves to help educate and enlighten anyone she meets. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Jimease has been called to help her generation and people live according to God given principles, to attain the best life possible. It is her aim and focus in life to reach and teach as many people as she can to find their purpose and fulfillment in life. This is the generational cycle that needs to be created and recreated within communities.
